Job Description
The Role requires in-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting framework specially for EMIR and related change under the EMIR re-fit (Regulatory Fitness Program) and to operate within the control framework to ensure the Completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the transactions reported.
The Submission Control function is responsible for monitoring and remediating the internal validation failures and the rejects from the regulators. It also monitors the trades which are not getting reported within the regulatory compliance time.
The Enhanced Quality Assurance function perform post process checks on the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the transaction reports submissions by performing reconciliations and independent data quality validations.
The Test execution function ensures that all transaction reporting initiatives and regulatory changes are validated before being implemented in production environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor the controls designed under the Transaction Reporting Control framework.
- Analyze the data to investigate the exceptions identified through the controls to identify gaps in the Completeness, Accuracy and Timeliness of the transaction reporting.
- Liaise with Middle Office (MO) / Front Office (FO) / Technology teams for the root causes of the exceptions.
- Proper documentation of the exceptions and potential reporting issues, produce MIS and represent the function in various internal forums.
- Engage with different senior stakeholders to discuss the underlying root cause of the issue

Foundational skills
- Knowledge about the Global Financial Markets and different financial products spread across the asset classes namely FX, Interest Rate, Equity, Credit and Commodity
- Understanding about the regulatory reporting bodies and the regulatory framework like CFTC, EMIR, MIFID, SFTR, HKMA
- The incumbent needs to be very good with numbers and should be well versed with the excel operations.
- Substantial time is spent on analysis of exceptions and hence candidate needs to have good analysis skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills to track many concurrent activities and keep leads updated on progress
- Should be a keen learner, self-starter and a team player
Desired skills:
- Exposure to data mining tool will be added advantage. Opportunity to learn and work on industry leading data mining tools like Tableau and Alteryx
- Ability to critically appraise the existing process and drive process improvement initiatives.
