What you’ll do
This role requires hands-on technical work and problem solving, we are not only providing consulting advice but are actually delivering solutions for our stakeholders.
Work in cooperation with various teams across Finance Division, external consultants, and project specialists to rationalize and automate financial and regulatory reports, internal business processes, and management information systems.
Engagements are diverse in nature so you will have exposure to a range of professional areas within Finance. However, process engineering within the regulatory reporting space will be a recurring theme.
In this role, you may be temporarily deployed to support reporting teams in need. In this capacity, you will be challenged to learn about new areas and to act as a generalist expert, ensuring business continuity, and coming up with process improvement ideas.
Support change management process and participate in the onboarding of new developments for reporting teams.
You will be expected to proactively contribute by identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives and standardization ideas that increase productivity and efficiency, while reducing process cycle times and errors.
Nobody knows everything, but you are expected to grow into a subject matter expert in a relevant professional area, be it in financial risk management, regulatory reporting, Basel, CRR or other aspects of the regulatory policy domain.
We are an agile, tech-savvy team, and would like you to contribute to the technical innovation effort to further improve our data management capabilities and process automation techniques.
What we’ll need from you
5+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of financial markets, banking products, understanding of key concepts in finance, financial risk management (credit risk & market risk), and regulatory policy (Basel Accords, COREP, FINREP, CRR, and related topics) are considered important assets for this position.
Financial Services Industry, Consulting, or Technology background is preferred, but exceptions apply.
Experience with reporting processes, regulatory reporting, and related projects is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills with working experience in process automation is highly valued.
Programming knowledge in any leading technology such as Python and familiarity with SQL is a strong plus.
Experience with data transformation tools, data analytics platforms such as KNIME and/or Power BI would be nice to have.
A very proactive, helpful, and problem-solving attitude is considered ideal.
