Risk Analyst position within the JPM trading platform that manages the bank’s bridge book exposure. You will need to have a deep credit background across multiple industries and be very focused on the ability to sell bonds, loans, preferred to investors.
Job Summary:
As a Trading Services Analyst within Credit markets, you will be responsible for performing control reconciliations to verify trade positions, investigating settlements, and focusing on process re-engineering and automation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with various teams, predominantly leverage finance and capital markets, (as well industry coverage, sponsor group, and credit) to analyze both sponsor deals and corporate M&A deals and assess the risk quality and pricing on a deal to ensure it is palatable to be sold to institutional investors.
- Analyze trading desk opportunities being mindful of regulatory requirements
- Exposed to daily high yield and loan meetings, weekly capital markets and leverage loan meetings and will have responsibility for weekly balance sheet committee meetings.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience (Research/Markets related)
- Extensive credit background across various sectors
- Someone who thrives on the challenge of competitive pressures and can assess risk according to client needs
- Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to juggle live transactions, generate trade ideas and analyze market movements
- Maturity and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced and open environment
- The ideal candidate will have a collaborative approach working with various business partners but with a mindful eye of protecting the firm’s capital
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Leveraged finance experience is preferred
- Credit research or Debt Capital Markets experience is preferred
- VBA is a plus
- BA or BS degree preferred (either Economics or Industrial Engineer preferred)
- Markets background is most preferred
