Role Overview:
Provides legal support for the Bank’s equipment finance and leasing transactions and related portfolio management and capital markets activities in EMEA, as well as advice on new products and services.
Responsibilities may also include support for workouts and restructurings, Reviews legal contracts and documents. Directly, or through staff, conducts legal research.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating single lender and syndicated equipment leasing and secured lending transactions and related portfolio, asset management and syndications transactions.
- Familiarity with confidentiality agreements, commitment letters, term sheets, loan and lease agreements, guarantees, subordination (debt and lien) agreements and other ancillary documents required.
- JD or equivalent with Bar Admission in good standing.
Desired Skills:
- Prior in-house experience (as an employee and/or secondee) at a bank, leasing company or other financial institution a strong plus.
- Prior transportation finance experience (aviation, rail, shipping, and motor vehicles) including drafting and negotiating credit agreements, operating leases, OEM purchase agreements, maintenance, and service agreements.
- Prior vendor finance experience a strong plus.
