PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer who will be involved with the testing of new technologies. In this position you will work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, where judgment is required to resolve problems and make routine recommendations. - Perform parts cleaning via Chemical abrasive and Baking processes
- Responsible for assembling and bounding small precision parts on the Electron Beam sub-system
- Perform alignment, positioning, and integration of flat cables on Electron Beam sub-assembly
- Utilize sophisticated equipment and microscopes to perform assembly verification for proper placement
- Support mechanical assembly and disassembly of various sub-systems
- Test, troubleshoot, and rework assemblies and sub-assemblies because of testing
- Prepare technical reports, summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
- Compile draft documentation and red-line draft procedures
- May assist in the selection and set‑up of specialized test equipment
- Support mechanical tool reintegration and verify consistency with structured procedures provided by Development and Manufacturing Engineers
- Validate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and Kit Lists during entire process and reintegration phase
- Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction, and with general instructions on newly introduced assignments
PROFICIENCIES:
- You need to have hands-on experience in assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of precision assemblies.
- Ability to follow existing processes, procedures, checklists, and protocols.
- Ability to work in Class 100 and 10000 clean room environments is required.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of each subsystem and how it interrelates to other subsystems.
- Hands on experience on variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and various equipment.
- Work effectively across different functional teams in different locations.
- Assist in technical conference calls and support issues external to the Manufacturing Group.
- Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrate an ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignments.
- Prior hands-on experience in testing digital and/or analog components and systems.
- An ability to read and comprehend complicated drawings, mathematics, and handbook formulas, and use a variety of testing and measuring instruments.
- Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends when requires.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; Domestically and Internationally.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite software and other applications is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree. Or 2 years of experience and an Associate's degree.
