Role name and description -Life Actuarial – Senior Manager
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of managing service delivery for client account/s and ensure high quality actuarial work products and services are provided to the clients within agreed timelines.
- Lead a variety of actuarial projects related to modeling, valuation, experience studies etc.
- Develop subject matter expertise in key actuarial areas such as modeling, transformation, new regulations etc.
- Enable the development of broader technical skills within team.
- Deliver engagements in line with our values and commitment to quality, consistently driving projects to completion.
- Manage clients, resources, priorities, work plans and support business development activities.
- Maintain strong client relationships and foster collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
- Communicate work progress and challenges effectively to clients, stakeholders, and project managers.
- Lead strategic initiatives that directly contribute to the priorities of the Actuarial Practice
- Meet internal and external compliance requirements.
Position Requirements
- Fellow actuary from SoA / IFoA or equivalent
- 12+ years Life Actuarial experience with minimum 6+ years in actuarial valuation / modeling.
- Experience with US Life/Annuity/Health products, knowledge of US , GAAP (LDTI)
- Experience with modeling platforms like Axis, Prophet, Pathwise etc.
- Experience with ALM/CFT/Pricing/Experience Studies would be an added advantage.
- Proven track record of developing and managing actuarial teams.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Experience in VBA/R/Python/SQL is preferred.
- Project management experience and ability to handle teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, execution and people management skills
- Ability to inspire confidence & create trust by effectively building relations with clients, partners and other stakeholders.
