Job Responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Work independently to drive projects end to end utilizing the team members. Adhere to agility practices, create, groom track development stories.
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages - Java, Python, SQL
  • Proficient in private and public Cloud hosted Platform - Pivotal Cloud, AWS, with In-depth knowledge in AWS EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Glue, PySpark, Cloudwatch, Step function
  • Experienced in SRE and Observability tools - Splunk, Dynatrace and DataDog
  • Proficient in Oracle, DB2 and AW Aurora Postgress Database with hands on experience writing SQL
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Work in a big data environment, handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders through excellent verbal and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Experience in Data Pipeline design and development
  • Experience in AWS Glue, EMR and PySpark
  • Design and develop data pipelines using Snowflake and DataBricks to ingest, enrich, and validate data from multiple sources
  • Re-engineer and migrate on-premises data solutions to the cloud
