As a Lab Engineer, you will be a core member of the software/firmware development team. Your key responsibilities include designing, creating, and assembling test beds for embedded systems, as well as designing and maintaining the laboratory environment. This involves ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the test environment and the equipment under test.Key job responsibilities
- Assemble and create new test beds
- Participate in test bed design (supporting design activities, soldering)
- Mount, replace, and maintain equipment and test beds (EVT → DVT → PVT, etc.) in the lab
- Troubleshoot lab-related issues
- Troubleshoot test bed issues related to components or assembly (broken cables, relay issues, RPIs, network, RF)
- Rework products under test and prototypes
- Cooperate with suppliers and order necessary electronic equipment and stands
- Scrap prototypes and unneeded electronic equipment according to corporate rules
- Perform physical manual actions for specific test scenarios on-demand
- Analyze tasks and provide technical contributions for cost-effective implementation
- Minimum Technical high school degree in electrical, mechanical, electronic, or similar specialization
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Experience in supporting microprocessor-based digital and/or analog circuitry and power electronics
- Understanding of electrical and basic electronics principles
- Soldering experience
- English proficiency (B1 or higher)
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of computer networks and WiFi
- Proficient in Linux
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Health and Safety rules in laboratory environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a Consumer Electronics lab environment
- Experience with embedded systems and consumer devices
- Superior analytical skills, including a strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
- A good understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with development engineering and other functions
- Experience in Appium
- Experience in macOS
