As an Investment Banking Experienced Analyst within the Northern European ECM team (covering the DACH and Nordic regions), you will assist in preparing origination / marketing materials topitch new ideas and execute transactions for clientsYou will be involved in the ECM coverage effort for a variety of corporate clients across industries. You will work closely together with other corporate finance / capital markets teams within the bank (investment banking coverage & industry teams, mergers and acquisitions, debt capital markets, acquisition & leveraged finance and equity derivatives).

Job responsibilities

  • Take part in origination and execution of ECM transactions led by J.P. Morgan
  • Draft equity market updates to corporate clients on a regular basis leveraging internal and external databases (Bloomberg, Dealogic)
  • Liaise with equity syndicate / research / sales / trading teams in order to gather market intelligence on an ad hoc basis
  • Conduct investor targeting exercises and collect investor feedback using a variety of sources and internal teams (sales / syndicate / research / corporate access)
  • Work together with corporate clients and transaction lawyers

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant investment banking experience
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Ability to multi-task, organized, rigorous
  • Interest in capital markets and corporate finance
  • Ability to work within a team, in a fast-moving, results-driven environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with sales people and research analysts, as well as corporate clients and other banks as part of working groups on projects
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative
  • Proficient quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Nordic or German language speakers are preferred though not essential

This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
