As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate. Your expertise in systems engineering, project management, and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions.

You will report directly to our Director of Engineering, and you'll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements analysis
  • Systems integration test development
  • Systems test validation & verification
  • Customer interaction
  • Lead Requirements creation and trace matrix
  • Oversee project Architecture and Concept designs
  • Design Reviews
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies internal and external to a team
  • Integration

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience in conducting advanced system tests in the aerospace industry
  • 3+ years of experience with DOORS / AET/ AECS/ ClearCase, Clear Quest, Teamcenter expertise
  • 3+ years of experience with hardware design and/or software development
  • 3+ years of experience with Avionics platform
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English

WE VALUE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field
  • Software coding experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with aerospace regulations and safety standards
  • Knowledge of advanced testing methodologies and tools
  • Exposed to electronic components and electrical signals
  • Read, interpret schematics
  • Exposed to electronics laboratory instrumentation
  • Experience with Agile methodology/execution
  • Attention to detail; accuracy
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
