• Process Overview*
• Prime Brokerage offers physical and synthetic financing solutions for clients who desire to gain market exposure and financing to securities in the Equity, Fixed Income and FX marketplaces. BAML’s offering spans multiple areas within GBAM each of which provide specific offerings to our clients
• Core prime services include transaction processing, canned and ad-hoc reporting, different calculators to calculate chargebacks, margins and financing and custody services

• The job requires leading, developing and enhancing the Global equity swaps platforms. Equity Swap, is a suite of applications that support the Delta 1 trading desk. One of the primary components of the technology suite is the global equity swap management tool. Features include Trade Capture and Amendments, Corporate Action and Trade Event Lifecycle Management, Posting of Cash Dividends and Adjustments, Stock Loan Desk Integration, Pricing, PnL, Client Position and Trade Reporting, Trade Grouping and Pair-Off Processing Support for Client Strategies.
• The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and applications and diverse technologies. The individual will manage a team of developers, BA & other team members throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution. The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes (Agile methodology) and the QA lifecycle to support business deliveries.
• The work involves both, developing and enhancing the platform and optimized performance catering to overgrowing volumes. It requires the ideal candidate to be passionate about and hands-on with technology Like Scala, be a systematic, logical problem-solver and creative to produce efficient business solutions. It will involve active participation in the system design and architecture along with its implementation, testing and deployment. The ideal candidate would be a fast learner of the business area, someone with good programming acumen, and seasoned enough to work on the projects with minimal hand holding.

• Experience Range*
• 15-20 years of experience in Java, Scala specifically on memory management/optimization. Handson Shell/Python/ETL exp.

• Foundational skills*

• Manage team of seasoned Scala and java developers.
• Provide technical guidance to the team
• Scala with strong functional programming skills
• Working knowledge of data structures, multithreading, memory management, monad, functors, applicative, Cats library.
• Knowledge of Scala Build Tool & Linux
• Core Java / Scripting with strong programming skills
• Exposure to application performance management/optimization
• Hands on experience in writing Oracle PL/SQL queries and Stored Procedures

• Desired skills
• Hands on exp. on Python basic scripting.
• Hands-on experience on Linux platform
• Preferable hands-on experience with Devops tools like Containers, RAFT, Litmus
• Knowledge of equities and/or prime brokerage / securities finance a plus
