Role and Responsibilities

- detail-oriented individual that has a technical background in telecommunication that can maximize multitasking skills to the next level.
- individual will make/coordinate project schedules and create test plans.

- Coordinate with R&D to implement new standards andspecification-relatedchanges and/or carrier-specific requirements.
- Use technical engineering knowledge and experience to understand customer applications, test cases, and requirements.
- Work independently & determine approach to work, and is monitored/supervised based more on milestone basis, and at key deliverable junctures.
- Identify the required documentation and process for each project. Assist in analyzing test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Collaborate with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software products. Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
- Diagnose Protocol and System level issues. Screen through and debug issues reported by field team, and oversee field testing by doing in-depth log analysis.
- Will train junior engineers and 3rd party engineers to perform required test items.
- Mentor fellow engineers to provide 1 on 1 training in the field (technical, process).
- Maintain current test process/work process documents.
- Understand requirements and core functions of new features from Samsung and from carriers.
- Responsible for testing new features to ensure that features and performance are correct and test results are accurate.


Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering - preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in wireless industry, preferrably in Mobile QA
- Proven Experience in QA life cycle, test plans, test executing and reporting
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of wireless technologies including LTE, NR, Radio Interface and/or exposure to RF network engineering, etc.
- Excellent knowledge in LTE features includingVoLTE/ViLTE/VoWiFi/RCSmessages/OTA Activation
- Excellent knowledge in Advanced LTE features including Modulation, Carrier Aggregation, MIMO, and Beam Frming
- Expert in utilizing log capturing and processing Tools: QXDM, QCAT, QPST, QMICM, NNEXT, ShannonDM, ELT, N-Trace, Mobile Analyzer, Artemis, Debug Mux, Spy Tracer, Odin, XCAL, Datum, Wireshark, WindCatcher, Actix, XCAP-M, Nomad, and Muse with good understadning in OTA signaling messages
- Expert in IMS SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) in regards to VoLTE & IR94 call processing.
- Able to test in driving conditions, and able to travel at any given moment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, communication(verbal and written) skills, and organizational and documentation skills
- Core competencies in Java and/or C#, also Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python to Write Test automation code using Eclipse, Android Studio, Visual Studio.
- Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.
