What you will be doing:
Understand chip HW features and intersection with speed characteristics. Develop state-of-artcharacterization/validationstrategies for these features.
Understand new silicon features and create internal characterization plans to validate benefits, functionality, etc.
Driving new feature testing methodology initiatives and implementation plan across multiple business units, translate hardware features design requirements to silicon speed characterization needs and test requirements for Productization.
Work alongside system architects, chip and board designers, software/firmware engineers, HW/SW applications engineering, process/reliability specialists, DFx engineers, ATE engineers, product managers, sales, and operations, in a multifaceted, high-energy work environment to bring industry-defining products to market.
Designing tools and scripts to automate characterization, data collection, test case execution, and results analysis.
Prototype and fine-tune the testing methodology to suit the needs of the next generation products. Build pre and post-silicon bring up flow and methodologies for productization quality and efficiency when characterizing silicon.
Architect essential testability features for next-generation product that are vital for performance, power optimization and management techniques all the way from feature definition to production; working with multi-functional teams.
Correlate silicon behavior across different platforms and simulation expectations, and provide design feedback.
Find creative solutions to complex silicon and system level problems and be on the frontline to lead show-stopper bugs, in order to enable product shipment.
Work with cross functional teams to Improve quality of chips by enabling screens to catch Silicon Defects
Collaborating with the best minds in NVIDIA across various teams (System Architecture, PDE, Application Engineering, Product Manager, Sales, and Operations) in a dynamic, creative work environment to bring industry-defining products to market.
What we need to see:
MS in EE, CE, Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in a related hardware engineering position.
Previous experience with silicon bringup, frequency and power characterization, PPA in Pre-Silicon or Post-Silicon phases, tester-to-system correlation, and lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ).
Scripting experience with Perl/ Python. Exposure to Windows, Linux, and Android OS environments.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
