As a Branded Card External Communications Sr. Associate within the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Communications team, you will be a member of a high-performing team that communicates with honesty, authenticity and empathy. You will collaborate closely with the VP of Branded Card, as well as other members of the Card and Connected Commerce External Communications team on 360 integrated marketing / communications campaigns across both the Card and Connected Commerce businesses. You will support external communications/public relations and play an integral role in shaping the go-to-market strategies and messaging for the Sapphire credit card portfolio.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing, presenting and executing strategic and tactical communications/public relations campaigns that lead business outcomes for Sapphire
  • Collaborate with internal and external Chase marketing support teams (events, social, brand/advertising, video, content), functional groups (e.g., Legal, Controls), business leaders, external partners and support agencies to execute campaigns and tell a holistic story
  • Conduct proactive media outreach, assist with influencer engagement programs and manage media and influencers at cardmember events and experiences
  • Help to oversee and collaborate with communications/PR agency on campaign planning, execution and measurement
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm - both externally and among employees
  • Coordinate with internal communications team members to pull through meaningful storylines within Chase

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in a communications/PR or marketing role
  • Proven experience in proactive and reactive media relations, and proactively executing public relations campaigns that resulted in positive press coverage and supported business results
  • Experience working with social media influencers (negotiation and influencing skills)and managing influencer campaigns, working in the financial services, credit cards, travel or consumer product industries; relationships with lifestyle and/or business/finance media
  • Some domestic travel required
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and experience building meaningful narratives and storylines
  • Strong relationship building and collaborative decision-making skills; the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with teams, internal stakeholders / senior leaders and external partners
  • Outstanding judgment and interpersonal skills, including partnering effectively with executives, peers and other functional groups across the company
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrating respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and taking accountability / accepting responsibility
  • Experience with applying measurement tools to demonstrate success
  • Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility and adaptability. We need a go-getter with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines – and sometimes outside traditional business hours.
  • Executive presence and presentation skills; demonstrated expertise telling a story visually (PowerPoint)

  • Experience working in a large company
  • Experience in a PR agency setting and working on an integrated marketing team
  • Executive communications experience – consulting directly with an executive/leaders
