Functional & Technical Consulting (FCO) comprises the evaluation of internal and external client's business needs and the translation of functional requirements into technology solutions. Covers support of technical implementations in a variety of functional areas and implementation of methodologies for new information systems or for integration of existing systems.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services.• Has in-depth organisational and relevant market knowledge and uses understanding on how relevant areas can be integrated to achieve objectives.• Contributes to strategic decisions within professional area.• Solves complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.• Contributes to development of concepts to determine professional direction of own organisational unit.• Acts as a professional leader for staff / workteam / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as best practice resource within own organisational unit and / or is recognised as an expert within the same professional area in the business.• Often leads functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.


• Analyze client requirements and identify opportunities for improvement within their Cloud and OSS landscape.
• Design and implement solutions that leverage industry best practices and standards (TM Forum, ETSI, 3GPP).
• Recommend initiatives to automate onboarding of VNFs/CNFs onto public and private cloud technologies including CI/CD, DevOps, Test Automation, and Cloud Operating Models
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, operations, sales) to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the OSS domain, cloud-native technologies and automation.
• Provide ongoing support to clients after solution implementation.
• SME at a global or regional level, who serves as best practice / quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both internal and external
• Leads functional teams or projects with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in OSS consulting or a related role within the telecommunications industry.
• In-depth knowledge of OSS functionalities and processes (inventory management, service provisioning, trouble ticketing, etc.).
• Strong understanding of telecommunications network architecture and technologies.
• Experience with industry standards and frameworks (TM Forum Open APIs, eTOM).
• Hand-on expertise in cloud native technologies and toolsets extremely desirable (including certifications and qualifications)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function. May at times be required to negotiate regarding operational issues.Management Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice or expertise. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 5-8 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.
