We are looking for an Architect Lead / Project Architect in Indianapolis, IN who will help to plan, design, coordinate, and supervise design services of life sciences building projects for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources. You’ll work closely with architectural design technical leadership and engineering discipline project leads to design, develop, document, observe, and administer the construction of complex program driven facilities. You will need an understanding of building materials and systems, methods of construction, and the integration of building services, structure, building core, and envelope elements. Also, you will help to maintain project technical quality, and timely delivery of architectural deliverables, meet with clients, and constructors to discuss technical aspects of project design, and construction, and may assist in maintaining and developing department master specifications.
The Architectural Lead helps to plan, design, coordinate, and supervise design services of life sciences building projects for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources.
• Works closely with architectural design technical leadership and engineering discipline project leads to design, develop, document, observe, and administer the construction of complex program driven facilities.
• Understanding of building materials and systems, methods of construction, and the integration of building services, structure, building core, and envelope elements.
• Helps to maintain project technical quality, and timely delivery of architectural deliverables.
• Meets with clients, and constructors to discuss technical aspects of project design, and construction.
• May assist in maintaining and developing department master specifications.
• Architecture licensure in the U.S. is required
• 10+ years of work experience in A/E firm is required
• Working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required
• Leadership skills
• Understanding of integration of building services, building core, and envelope elements
• Knowledge and experience in the design of FDA-regulated pharmaceutical and bio-tech manufacturing facilities is preferred, but not required
Ideally you’ll have:
• Experience supervising the work of other design professionals
• Understanding of building codes and specifications
• Understanding of building materials, systems, and methods of construction.
