Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Technical Strategy

Develop a deep understanding of Amazon’s current and future architecture. Co-create, Co-develop and Co-innovate with Amazon on strategic engineering initiatives to enhance the efficiency, safety, and scalability of the Campus infrastructure and associated subsidiaries. Lead with an automation | programmability first mentality and sophisticated technologies to drive operational excellence.

  • Multi-functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely across the Amazon teams to understand business needs and translate them into engineering solutions. Build and expand on strong partnerships across Amazon (Engineering Leadership, Principal Architects, key decision makers) and Cisco (BU executives, Engineering key collaborators) to drive alignment and achieve common goals.

  • Continuous Improvement

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing processes and methodologies. Offer solutions, not problems. Take calculative risks and learn from mistakes. Stay relevant, constantly evaluate and be a change agent!

Minimum qualifications for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering | Science or related field
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience
  • Solid technical background in one or more of the following areas of technology - Security, Enterprise Networking, Full Stack Observability, SDWAN
Preferred qualifications for this role:
  • Understanding of automation, programmability, and observability tools such as grafana, a plus
  • Advanced degree, CCIE or equivalent industry certifications, AWS certifications a plus
  • Validated ability to lead multi-functional teams, get results, and run complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and standard methodologies.
