Amazon Kindle is a customised operating system that is purpose built and optimised for book reading (and note-writing) purposes. As a support engineer, you would be mining through large set of logs to identify patterns of data. You would also own monitoring key metrics, maintain dashboards for them and also create automated alarms to detect failures. You will partner with multiple teams internally for successful root-causing of issues and in creating generic dashboards to monitor health of Kindle.Key job responsibilities
- 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
- Understand operating system concepts and fluent in C/C++
