General Ledger and reporting:
- Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with IND AS to comply with the India Reporting requirements
- Review and preparation of the Indian Entity’s consolidation process including advising of consolidation entries for investments and equity activity
- Participate in cross functional projects and assist other functions with financial reporting and disclosure matters
- Prepare/review monthly closing journal entries and account reconciliations and rollforwards
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses, as requested
- Assist in various statutory reporting requirements
- Ensure all duties performed are in compliance with IND AS, Company policies and procedures, MCA reporting requirements, and ICFR
- Responsible for testing and/or review for Internal Control over Financial Reporting
- Manage external audit and internal audit process
- Participate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for financial reporting activities, and their continuous improvement process including automation and acceleration
- Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Fixed assets:
- Use accounting judgment to ensure items from invoices meet capitalization criteria.
- Collaborate with Real Estate, IT, and facilities teams to gather the necessary details to correctly set up assets.
- Maintain backups needed for asset creation.
- Handle the WebCER tool to obtain details needed for asset creation.
- Work with procurement to correct purchase order coding.
- Co-ordinate for asset disposals and scrap sale for correct invoicing and deletions of those assets in fixed asset module.
- Enter FA transactions in the Subledger.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and journals.
- Perform monthly variance analysis and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting requirements, internal controls.
- Drives process improvements/changes.
- Co-ordinate for physical verification of assets in accordance with statutory requirements
Here's what you'll need
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- A Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- At least 5+ years of relevant financial reporting experience in public accounting and/or a commercial business environment, ideally some portion of supervisory experience
- Technical knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, Companies Act, IND AS and ICFR
- Ability to demonstrate strong Microsoft Office skills (especially MS Excel)
- Ability and willingness to be flexible, especially during month end and quarter end close, to allow successful completion of time sensitive deliverables
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with a large ERP system (ideally Oracle)
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others, especially in a remote environment
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and external auditors
- Ability to work in a fast, dynamic environment, and prioritize competing priorities
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills
