Job SummaryReporting to the, theposition involves being responsible for coordinating activities related to the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Reviews requisitions and MRP output.
- Communicates with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchasing.
- Places orders, reschedules, and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP results.
- Manages supplier's compliance with price, delivery, and quality expectations and, if necessary, escalates the case to a higher level.
- Approves invoices for payment.
- Expedites delivery of goods to users.
- Analyzes inventory levels. Prepares accountability reports for surplus and obsolete management.
- Interacts with suppliers to ensure both delivery and best market price.
- Makes tactical purchasing decisions. Executes corporate sourcing and purchasing programs for high value parts.
- Conducts quarterly supplier reviews.
- Maintains purchasing records, reports, and metrics.
- Performs tracking from order placement to supplier payment and receipt. of material in the system.
- Coordinates with warehouse to resolve any receiving issues.
Experience we are looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced English.
- Previous MRP experience.
- Intermediate/AdvancedExcel.
- BAAN knowledge.
