You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Apply preventative maintenance testing techniques in support of maintaining UPS batteries across our fleet of data centers.
- Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site.
- Remain cognizant of and act in compliance with all security protocols.
- Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management on a daily basis.
- Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
- Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up.
- Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Provide support for LSE, weather events, planned, and unplanned outages.- Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience
- Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a relevant technical discipline from an accredited institution, coupled with military or trade school training.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing operations of mission-critical facilities, requiring in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Substantial work experience in a critical environment, preferably with data center operations exposure.
- Proficiency in identifying safety concerns and maintaining a secure work environment in compliance with NFPA 70E guidelines.
