About the role:
The Senior Product Manager, Competitive Intelligence will have a pivotal role within our product management team for Intracept, specifically tasked with monitoring and analyzing competitors in the back pain space, and developing competitive strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the competitive landscape. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions, ensuring our products stay ahead of the curve and meet market demands effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Competitive Intelligence: Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence framework to monitor competitors' strategies, products, market activities, and performance in the back pain solutions space.
- Strategic Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses on competitors' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to inform our product development and commercial strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, clinical and regulatory teams to communicate competitive insights and make recommendations that will influence product strategy and positioning. Work cross-functionally to ensure competitive strategies are executed in the market.
- Market Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact the competitive landscape, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Actionable Insights: Translate complex data and analysis into actionable insights, enabling proactive strategies to blunt competitors' moves and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Reporting: Develop regular reports and presentations on competitive landscape, providing strategic recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.
- Marketing Collateral Development: Lead the creation of innovative and persuasive marketing collateral, including brochures, sales sheets, presentations, and digital content, that effectively communicates our product's unique value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the go-to expert on competitive intelligence within the organization, facilitating knowledge sharing and strategic discussions among stakeholders. Engage with customers and KOLs to gain insights to drive competitive strategies.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic analysis within the medical device industry,
- Proven track record of successfully identifying competitive threats and opportunities, with the ability to influence product strategy and outcomes.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience in handling complex datasets and generating actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the medical device industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to drive alignment and focus.
