What You’ll DoAs a machine learning engineer on the Collaboration AI team, you will research, prototype, develop and deploy ML-based cloud services that power intelligent features in products like the Webex Suite, the Webex Contact Center and others. While you will have an opportunity to contribute to our machine learning efforts across several application domains, this role is particularly focused on accelerating the development and deployment of automatic speech recognition (ASR) models.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop speech based ML models for tasks such as automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech and speech-to-speech.
- Conduct data analysis, pre-processing, and cleaning to prepare data for use in training models.
- Evaluate and improve the accuracy and performance of existing models, as well as develop new models as needed.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including software engineers, linguists, data scientists, and product managers to develop and ship machine learning models.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech technology and machine learning and apply them to our work.
Required Skills- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of work experience in machine learning, ASR, NLP or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, and experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and XGBoost.
Desired Skills- Proficiency in speech based tasks such as automatic speech recognition, diarization and text-to-speech.
- Experience with Large Language Models.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, well-tested and documented code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of designing and shipping ML models in real world production systems.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team environment.
But "Digital Transformation" is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)
