Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a knowledge management (KM) consultant with expertise in knowledge management and content management for a public sector client. The consultant, a subject matter expert in the field, is expected to advise clients and present engaging point of view. He/she is responsible for helping organizations to leverage their knowledge assets to improve decision-making, innovation, and performance. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand their unique knowledge management and content management needs and develops tailored solutions that enable them to achieve their business objectives.The job description includes:

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients on knowledge management and content management strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducting trends analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for improvement in knowledge management and content management.
  • Conducting needs assessments, gap analyses, and feasibility studies to identify areas of improvement in knowledge management and content management.
  • Developing and implementing knowledge management and content management solutions that align with clients’ business objectives, including the design and implementation of knowledge taxonomies, ontologies, and other knowledge organization systems.
  • Advising clients on the selection and implementation of appropriate knowledge management and content management tools and technologies, including generative AI solutions.
  • Providing guidance on the development and implementation of content management strategies and policies, including content creation, publication, and maintenance.
  • Presenting the knowledge management point of view to clients, highlighting the benefits and value of effective knowledge management and content management.
  • Collaborating with clients to identify and capture knowledge from various sources, including documents, databases, and people.
  • Developing and implementing knowledge transfer programs to ensure that knowledge is effectively shared and utilized across the organization.
  • Providing ongoing support and maintenance to ensure the success of knowledge management and content management initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration within and outside the organization.
  • Developing and implementing metrics and measurement tools to assess the effectiveness of knowledge management and content management strategies.
  • Conducting training and awareness programs to educate clients on knowledge management and content management best practices and tools.
  • Ensuring that knowledge management and content management systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of knowledge management and content management systems and processes, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Managing and influencing key stakeholders in the area of change management and adoption of best practices KM and content management.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop a comprehensive change management plan that addresses potential resistance, provides training and support, and ensures successful adoption of new KM and content management practices.
  • Identifying and leveraging the power of generative AI to enhance knowledge management and content management capabilities, such as using natural language processing to automate content classification and tagging.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of KM and content management initiatives, including ongoing training and support, and regular assessments of progress and impact.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in knowledge management and content management, and integrating these into client solutions.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 3 to 5 years of solid experience in knowledgement management, preferably in Microsoft Sharepoint
  • A subject matter expert in knowledge management
  • A client-facing role in consulting firms background highly preferred
