Your key responsibilities

• As a Technical Analyst, you will work closely with solutions architects, developers, and other associates enthusiastic about technical solution design and architecture for investment banking clients. You will support the creation of technical requirements as part of solution design, articulating them through standardised design artefacts, and ensuring alignment with target architectures, principles, patterns, and standards

• Elaborate, assess, and provide consultancy on solution options that align with the client’s strategy and business objectives

• Contribute to the planning of solution delivery through estimation and identification of dependencies

• Join engagements with organisations to harness technology and innovation, shaping their technology visions, executing the digital transformation journey, and reinventing businesses to create sustainable value from investments

• Work closely with investment banks to understand their fundamental business challenges, providing insight into the opportunities and challenges facing CIOs and CTOs, focusing on emerging or disruptive trends that have the potential to transform

• Provide support for bids, proposals, and client business development workshops

• Support our investment banking clients through an end-to-end process to design, agree, and deliver their future requirements, leveraging the capabilities of technologies available to provide these needs in the most effective way possible

• Support the creation and delivery of presentations to senior client stakeholders and internal leadership teams

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience in investment banking or technology consulting gained through a top-tier consultancy, a specialist financial services consultancy, and/or a top-tier investment bank or financial institution

• Experience working on large technology implementations from a technical perspective

• Relevant architectural knowledge and experience

• Strong requirements gathering and process definition experience

• Proven track record of successful delivery working on large technology implementations

• Analytical mindset; critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources and design fit-for-purpose technical solutions

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think through technical solutions

• Proficiency in relevant technology tools and platforms used in investment banking and financial services

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Good appreciation of current market trends (cloud, data analytics, blockchain, AI, and green IT) and how these are likely to impact key industry players

• Technical development grounding and proven experience developing and implementing software engineering methodologies and tooling

• Experience working closely with developers, testers and stakeholders to ensure strategies and solutions are implemented effectively
