Key job responsibilities
- Key partner to work closely with Product teams and WW Engineering to drive customer (AMZL) requirements for implementing new automation tech in Delivery Stations network.
- Identify process paths to automate based on various factors; labor, cost, safety, performance, etc. working with Process Engineering and Operations partners- Define pilot criteria and success metrics to validate proof of concept and performance targets set initially- Support lessons learnt program for new robotics and automation system to understand improvements needed for next generation design iterations
A day in the life
You will ideate and bring to life new technologies for AMZL. Your day could include: working with new vendors on developing concepts for AMZL with automation and robotics technology to being in the field and learning the challenges that associates face. You would write a business case and work with stakeholders to build a case for piloting new technology. You could dive deep into understanding how the tech influences AMZL processes and the associate’s lives. Eventually, you will iterate on your new ideas to decide for the business on GO/NO-GO for the new tech into AMZL. Bringing your entrepreneurial and innovative spirits will be a daily ordeal – it's always Day 1.
London, GBR
• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in the design and validation of complex Mechatronic systems
• Proven capabilities in managing complex projects
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience building with Machine learning, IoT, AI platforms
• Fluency in English language
• Knowledge of working with PLCs and coding
• Experience in using CAD and Simulation tools
• German/ French languages is a relevant benefit but not a must have for the role
