We're looking for a Process Safety Engineer in Boise, ID who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
- Designing process/facility systems including process cooling/heating systems, exhaust systems, waste streams, hydronic systems, pollution control, mechanical/process wet and dry piping systems (all systems).
- Assisting in the engineering producing engineering drawings for installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards and consulting associated with the construction of industrial production facilities, semiconductor tool installations, and Process and Mechanical Piping system design related to facility engineering
- Performing field inspections of existing systems, on-site field walks and design verification
- Technical writing, including memos to adequately update team members on new designs, and technologies that embrace safety and process improvement
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related fields
- Experience with design drawings, word processing and spreadsheets (AutoCAD or Revit and MS Office)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), analytical skills & problem solving skills
- This position requires someone to be able to be on-site every day if necessary. This means that you must live within a commutable distance to the client site in Boise, ID. We consider this within 50 miles but if you should only apply to this role if you feel comfortable with this requirement.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
- Previous internship experience in construction, or industrial/ manufacturing facility design
- Familiarity with US Engineering Codes and Best Practices
