In this role, you will lead software development for the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) product, spanning several capabilities inclusive of Strategic Planning, Goals Framework, Project & Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Agile Development 2.0, and Application Portfolio Management (APM). All development must be done in accordance with industry leading practices and published PayPal development standards. As lead developer, you will be asked to focus on providing solutions that prioritize configuration over custom development.

As a senior ServiceNow developer, you will use your ServiceNow design, development, and implementation experience to definedesign and development choices – ensuring fit-for-purpose and out-of-the-box first solutions.

Your day to day

In your day-to-day role you will

  • Guarantee the successful design and developmentoftheServiceNowSPMsuite of applications, inclusive ofStrategic Planning,Goals Framework,Project & Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Agile Development 2.0, and Application Portfolio Management (APM)

  • Review and evaluate all design and developmentscopeforServiceNow SPMapplications

  • Work closely with the ServiceNow platform architecture team to review all key decision points, configuration, andcustomization

  • Work closely withother members of theServiceNow development team,ensuring thesuccessful development of configuration aligned to prescribeddesignguidance

  • Assist the ServiceNow product management team with translating functional and technical business requirements toleadingpractice designsandOOTB-first


What do you need to

  • Bachelor’s degree ORappropriate combinationof education and experience

  • ServiceNow Certified System Admin (CSA)

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist(CIS)– Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or the CIS – PPM certification if obtained in the past 2years

  • 5+years' experienceas a seniorServiceNowdeveloper, experience with ServiceNow design and architecture concepts and principles

  • Experience designing and developing integration technologies such as LDAP, REST,SOAP, orJDBC

  • Hands-on experience implementing ServiceNowStrategic Planning Workspace (previously Alignment Planner), Project & Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Agile Development 2.0, or Resource Management

  • Working experience with platform applications such as Performance Analytics, Surveys and Assessments, Flow Designer, andIntegrationHub

  • Working experience with ServiceNowCSDM and CMDBtoenablethesuccessful deployment and operationalization ofApplication Portfolio Management (APM)
