Key Responsibility Area:

  • Contributes to and reviews program vision, roadmap and content presentations

  • Prepares and participates in release planning, contributes to program increment planning, program backlog refinement, and preparation /prioritization of portfolio backlogs to continuously synthesize into program backlog and then to team backlog. Drafts the team’s specific objectives for the program increment

  • Reprioritizes the team(s) backlog coordinating dependencies with other POs

  • Has the primary responsibility for maintaining the story flow, possibly embedded in the agile team(s). Defines stories and provides input for user story details and priorities, establishes story acceptance criteria,accepts stories into the baseline / the final iteration plan. Supports team(s) with their story estimates and sequencing. Facilitates and leads sprint planning and grooming sessions

  • May define functional and non-functional requirements as well as the user interface. Identifies gaps between current system and client/market needs

  • Coordinates with other product owners on content dependencies

  • Manages content deliverables and dependencies to external suppliers

  • Facilitates inter-team dependencies in the respective sprints

  • Participates in team demo and retrospectives. Works with other product owners to produce the system demo, delivers system demo for his scope to the business owner and product management team

  • May ensure validation of the system with the client

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

- 10 + yrs of work experience with strong experience as a Product Owner
