The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical program management support to our Custom CPU Engineering team including the following responsibilities:

• Work with Physical Design (PD) team to plan/track project execution from Synthesis through GDSII including domain signoffs (Timing, PDN, PDV)

• Lead the creation and maintenance of credible and data-driven schedules and project milestones.

• Organize and lead interdepartmental meetings to set project milestones/schedules, plans of records, define project tasks, establish program policies and processes.

• Work closely with Release management team to ensure Physical Design Quality of the different designs delivered to customers and drive necessary automation around it

• Work with CAD team to scope/track new PD flow development and help tracking flow issues through Jira isue management

• Responsible for IP-SoC relationship & partnership program management.

• Troubleshoot physical design issues and help to develop alternative program tasks, schedules, milestones, resource plans, processes etc. to resolve program issues and conflicts.

• Determine risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate information to internal and external key stakeholders. Must be able to proactively drive and solve problems to solutions.

• Roll-up and report regularly to senior management-executives on key development milestones, budget, metrics, risks, and mitigation plans.

• Develop scalable processes to increase the productivity and efficiency of the team.

• Work on multiple programs with teams across geos.

• Be an advocate for the program in cross-functional and stakeholder meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

• 3+ years of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.

Preferred qualifications

• MS or PhD degree in Engineering

• Experience as an engineer in chip development and integration into hardware or software systems. Experience with silicon development methodologies, leading tape-outs and silicon validation.

• Experience in one or more aspects of PD such as sign-off (PnR, timing), physical verification, IR/EM is strongly preferred

• A successful candidate requires a strong IP core (preferably CPU) design & debug background including Project Management of IP team working on multiple programs.

• Technical domain expertise in all aspects of VLSI development cycle and IP delivery process.

• You will help coordinate and support methodology deployment and play a key role in planning future IP validation and development initiatives.

• Ability to drive teams towards long-term challenging goals and intermediate milestones, as well as navigating teams through short-term, highly visible priorities.

• Track record of successful planning and execution within resource and schedule constraints.

• Expert user of Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence/Structures/JQL)

• Knowledgeable on program management tools and processes to increase productivity across engineering teams.

• Proven skills: communication, negotiation, motivation, dealing and resolving difficult and complex situations, thinking on the fly, and drive to meet the business need.

Education Requirements:

Required: Bachelor's, Computer/Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master’s, Computer/Electrical Engineering

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Pay range:

$147,000.00 - $246,000.00
