AWS is looking for a Data Linguist to help with annotations and data analysis. As part of the Data Team at AWS you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training data to ensure the best performance of the AWS machine learning systems. Our goal is to produce the highest quality training data in the industry and to delight our customers by improving human language understanding and natural language processing.Key job responsibilities
Annotate, generate, and ensure quality assurance of data, identifying linguistic categories through detailed annotation while strictly adhering to guidelines.
Work closely with ML Data Linguists to resolve data ambiguities and annotation inconsistencies.
Conduct in-depth qualitative error trend analysis, developing action plans to enhance data quality.Facilitate vendor communication, providing detailed feedback to annotators for continuous improvement.Utility Computing (UC)Work/Life Balance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Philosophy, Cognitive Science, or Foreign languages.
*Fluency or native proficiency in one of the languages: Japanese, French, Spanish, or Brazilian Portuguese.
* Ability to identifying linguistic ambiguity, and other inaccuracies in linguistic data, as well as identify basic parts of speech, and produce reports of analyzed data.
* Experience with linguistic annotation
* Familiarity with json, yaml, xml or other forms of text markup.
* Ability to navigate a Unix terminal and use common command line tools


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Linguistics, Communications, a foreign language,- computational linguistics or other language or data-related disciplines.
* Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques.
