The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.
Job Description:
Comprehensive knowledge of Piping Material Engineering, related upstream and downstream, Solar project, Hydrogen projects detail Engineering activities.
- Leading and Guiding team consisting of Piping Material Engineers.
- Effective handling projects in all phases i.e. FEED, Detail Engineering and As-Built projects.
- Should be able to manage projects as lead Material Engineer and responsible for the proper and timely execution of projects ensuring the quality management system and project specific contractual requirements.
- Complete experience in EPCM projects (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Maintenance).
- Detail review of client requirements in ITB.
- Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and adapts to project requirements and shows utmost priority to teamwork.
- Well conversant with the international piping codes and Standards (ASME, API, ASTM, BS etc.).
Skills & Qualification :
A degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering Discipline with Minimum 8 to 20 years extensive professional experience in Piping Material Engineering. Experience from consultancy organization. Candidate should possess knowledge in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work. Candidate should have experience of working for pharma / chemical / Industrial projects. Candidate should have knowledge of followings :
- Knowledge of Piping materials and MSD and MSR.
- Sound Knowledge of Codes and Standards like ASME B 31.3, AMSE B 31.1, AMSE B 31.12, ISO 15494 & API, ASTM and ISO etc.
- Review of Piping Material Specifications, Valve material specifications and Special Item specifications.
- Review of piping engineering deliverables (Valve list, SP Item List, Valve Data sheets and Specialty Items datasheets etc.) for the respective projects.
- Coordinate Material Take-off (MTO) activities at various stage of the project and control overall MTO till mechanical Completion.
- Expert knowledge in procurement related activities for piping items (MR’s, TBE, PR’s and approval of vendor documents).
- Complies to Safety in Design (SID) in relation to piping material engineering activities.
- Review of Material Selection Diagram (MSD) and Material selection report (MSR) and process service Index with respect to Piping Material Specification.
- Preparation of piping Material engineering deliverable list for the project.
- Supervision of engineers, planning and scheduling of piping material engineering activities.
- Providing piping engineering inputs during project L3 and L4 schedule plan.
- Man-hour estimate for piping engineering deliverable.
- Review of Client requirements and co-ordination with client for technical clarifications.
- Co-ordination with other engineering disciplines and ensuring proper quality control of piping material engineering deliverables.
- Ensure the design confirms to Codes and Standards in accordance with project design basis, quality plans and procedures.
- Review of MR & TBE and PR and VDR for piping items.
- Identifying the scope changes with respect to Bid scope and budget.
- Perform squad checks and Interdisciplinary coordination.
- Participate in Model Reviews, HAZOP/HAZID, Risk management workshops.
- Attending Vendor KOM and handled package management for piping items.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to produce high - quality design, drawings and technical reports within the predefined deadlines.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi - disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of software’s like Navisworks, SPRD.
- Knowledge of other software like Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365.
