Review and understand the project contract. Administer project controls that support contract requirements.
Implement and execute proper controls to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs, labor hours, and quantities for projects.
Create and issue client and internal status reports that effectively communicate cost status and trends.
Reviews and recommends approvals of pay applications and invoices from contractors, architects, and consultants. Confirms billing accuracy from both an accounting and progress completion standpoint.
Manage, and monitor procedures for cost and information control systems.
Responsible for processing contract change orders and invoice payments in client systems.
Update project weekly and monthly reports using inputs from project staff and client staff.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of technical terminology.
- Willingness to learn engineering and construction cost tracking practices
- Good writing skills
- Understand the relationships between the project controls functions of estimating, planning/scheduling, and cost control.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel: Table (Vlookup, Index, Filtering, Data manipulation & summarization) and Excel Functions
- Ability to manage team functions and activities
