Description
As an Energy Compliance Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting energy efficiency testing on products in development within Apple’s Environmental Technologies Energy Efficiency Lab. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product compliance engineers and cross-functional teams to rigorously test and validate energy efficiency performance across all product lines. Success in this position requires a critical thinker with strong debugging skills and a proactive approach to learning and optimizing processes. Additionally, you will play a key role in evaluating and recommending new equipment and processes to strengthen lab capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or 3 years of equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware product-related energy efficiency testing (e.g., EU ErP Lot X/Lot 3, Battery Charging Systems, Energy Star)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in operating test equipments (e.g. Power meters, Battery testers, AC sources)
  • Experience in product disassembly and creating detailed Standard Operating Procedures
  • (SOPs) for testing
  • Expertise in energy lab setup, lab management, maintenance and improvements
  • Strong communication skills, adaptable to both collaborative and independent work settings
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
  • Thrives in environments where attention to detail is required
  • Expertise in project management, including organizing, managing, and producing high quality
  • Deliverables within tight timelines working with cross functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,909 and $214,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
