Responsible for software development maintenance on OpenShift compliance and security components using Golang and other programming languages to address software defects and enhance existing software functionality.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for designing new security and compliance software functionality in OpenShift platform by conducting research tasks, producing design proposal documentation, and creating and presenting proof-of-concept demos to address customer requirements.

  • Responsible for reviewing security and compliance-related software development proposals from other OpenShift developers by conducting design and code level reviews and providing feedback to ensure a high level of quality of development contributions.

  • Responsible for porting OpenShift compliance and security components to new OpenShift platform versions to ensure expected functionality is provided to customers on new OpenShift platform versions.

  • Responsible for development of Continuous Integration tests for OpenShift security and compliance functionality using the Golang programming language to prevent the introduction of regressions with new development updates.

  • Responsible for writing initial documentation drafts for newly developed OpenShift security and compliance functionality to enable Red Hat documentation writers to produce updated product documentation for new OpenShift releases.

  • Responsible for producing software testing guidance documentation for newly developed OpenShift security and compliance functionality to enable Red Hat Quality Engineers to properly design and develop formal product tests used for testing and validation of software defect fixes and new features in OpenShift platform releases.

  • Responsible for producing internal training materials to prepare Red Hat customer support for supporting newly-developed OpenShift compliance and security functionality.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related role.

  • Must have one (1) year of experience with programming in Go or Python;

  • Must have one (1) year of experience with administrative level Linux operating system usage in a personal, professional, or educational capacity;

  • Must have one (1) year of experience with container-related technologies;

  • Must have one (1) year of experience with distributed source control, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows;

  • Must have one (1) year of experience with operating system and software application security.

The salary range for this position is $108,610 - $173,630. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
