Responsibilities:

The role is a highly visible position with significant input on driving the strategic direction of the AF product and setting and managing program goals. As such, it will require creating and building relationships with clients, prospects, industry bodies, and other market participants.

  • Industry knowledge and thought leadership:

    • Deep knowledge of aviation sector trends, drivers and regulatory environment globally

    • Leverage deep sector understanding and network to guide clients through complex, often multi-jurisdictional financing transactions

    • Thorough knowledge of aircraft valuation drivers and trends

    • Ability to monitor and analyze changing industry dynamics and global regulatory framework

  • Functions:

    • Aviation SME for Citi Global Wealth and provide counsel for corporate aviation

    • Representative for Citi at aviation industry events and publications

    • Foster productive relationships with Bankers and Lending Advisors to drive new aircraft lending business

    • Providing expertise and knowledge for the underwriting team and risk management team to manage existing aircraft lending portfolio

    • Partnering with Aircraft Valuation Specialist to assess and value new and existing aircraft collateral

    • Provide thought leadership and advice to Management to drive, improve and grow the Aircraft Finance product offering

    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

    • Coach and mentor junior team members

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience either in leadership positions within Aircraft Finance at another financial institution or directly in the private aviation industry

  • Thorough and practical understanding of Aircraft financing programs, regulatory requirements, and experience in business generation

  • Bachelor's/Universitydegree, Master's degree preferred
