WHAT YOU WILL DO
Critical Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Lead and manage the development of new product launch, new capabilities and optimization operational project initiatives to facilitate technical transfer of new program into manufacturing and provide the automation solution
- Provides technical support for new equipment/process start-ups and operation
- Identify opportunities to improve existing control processes and equipment by leveraging and setting industry best practices
- Lead complex operational plant troubleshooting efforts and investigation of production process, equipment, systems and code/configuration
- Performs Automation maintenance, including Preventive maintenance and periodic review of system, system backup, disaster recovery, and obsolescence activities, and ensures automation systems remain in a validated state.
- Updates the SOPs and SDLC documentation to ensure compliance to regulatory standards and ensures documents are generated and maintained to the required standards and appropriate frequency
- Prepares and perform AIQ/AOQ, test plans, and documentation, ensuring documentation meets required regulatory standards
- Support plant improvement initiatives and site capital projects
- Active involvement in proposing the direction and implementation of the automation control
- Make changes to manufacturing process control under strict GMP change control management process to optimize processes and maintain compliance
- Perform Root Cause Analysis, develop corrective and preventive actions, effective countermeasures and implement the solutions to prevent recurrence
- Work closely with stakeholder to ensure production supply
- Collaborate with cross functional team to resolve incidents, events or deviations
- Participates in HAZOP reviews and completes action items as required
- Develops and updates Automation training packages, and conducts Automation training
- Support Service Owner and System Owner roles for DCS, PLC and BMS system etc
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electronics & Electrical, Instrumentation, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 5+ years relevant technical experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
- Hands on experience with automation systems and be particularly proficient in Emerson or Yokogawa technology
- Good Communication skills and good team player
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer focused
- Proactive and willing to take on challenges
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and drive results on multiple assignments in fast-paced environment
- Work with different teams to meet common goals, provide end to end solutions and no functional boundaries
