We are hiring a Staff Technical Product Owner in Point of Care team and the details are as below. You are responsible for operating in lockstep with product management to create a clear strategic direction for build needs for a products in your teams portfolio. You will work with the team and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of a products features and functionality. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners, and Developers.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with product team(s) and other internal/external customers to understand business requirements for existing and/or new products/solutions.
- Lead discovery and conceptual design work required to translate business needs into solutions and features.
- Understand overall solution and translate into functional and non-functional requirements. Includes specifications, graphical representations, and presentations that describe the desired solution or product feature. Documentation includes volume and usage predictions, user interface design concepts, error prevention and detection strategies, and flow design.
- Translates unstructured or ambiguous scope requests into actionable user stories and work unit.
- Balance business requirements with technical feasibility
- Interacts with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product.
- Research and evaluate solution alternatives and deliver proposals that meet competitive needs.
- Identify constraints and assumptions that shape the scope, cost and timing of the solution.
- Oversee the integration of existing GE technologies to proposed solution(s)
- Owns the releases and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
- Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
- Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
- Demonstrates strategic level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
- Engages frequently with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
- Interacts with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
- Routinely collaborates with UX in design decisions. Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.
- Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.
- Owns the releases and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
- Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
- Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
- Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit.
- Expert in Agile Methodology.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering
- 10 years of relevant Industry experience.
- 2-3 years’ experience in working in a MNC with teams located in different locations as a Product Owner.
- Experience in design and development of software systems/products or medical systems/devices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work harmoniously within a team
Desired- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering with 10+ years’ experience in medical product industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical & business leadership team to implement product development in global matrix environment
- Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle
- Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
- Experience in mobility platforms like Android, iOS & other mobility related platforms
- Experience working in Cloud related applications like AWS, Azure etc., would be an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) regulatory compliance process, design history file and related documentation
- Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards like IEC 60601, CISPER 11 etc.
- Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
- Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving completion of a product/program
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work within and influence cross functional team members
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment.
