As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the overall Orchestration System for the entire Apple Data Platform. You will be engaging with stakeholders, partners and customers to design and implement the services to operate at Apple scale. - Identify opportunities and drive a strategic approach to contributing to open source
- 5+ years of experience in managing Engineering teams.
- 10+ years of software development experience in Data and AI platforms and infrastructure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate with other teams across Apple.
- Strong leadership in cross-functional collaboration, driving alignment across engineering, product, and business teams to accelerate platform adoption.
- Expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Data and ML orchestration systems
- Experience designing and optimizing large-scale compute platforms with advanced scheduling, resource management, and cost efficiency considerations.
- Experience in influencing and driving key product innovations and opportunities across a diverse set of global partners
- Superb problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expertise in AI/ML workload orchestration and scheduling, including optimizing resource allocation for large-scale training, inference, and data processing pipelines.
- Experience building and managing AI infrastructure platforms, enabling frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Ray, and Spark with distributed compute environments
