As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies in Aguadilla, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced systems for the aerospace industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of systems and components, and you will contribute to the advancement of aviation technology. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in the aerospace industry and make a significant impact on the future of flight. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Platform on the Next Generation Avionics Platform
• Systems/software requirements development, validation, integration or verification
• Creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
• Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and components
• Conduct testing and validation of systems to ensure performance and reliability
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for improvements
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in aerospace technology

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering role
• 5+ years in system design and integration
• Ability to speak, write and read English

WE VALUE:

• Bachelor’s degree in systems or computer science degree
• Previous experience with managing requirements via DOORS
• Previous experience with DO-178
• Experience with aerospace industry standards and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Model based system design (using Simulink, preferred)
• ARINC 661 graphics development (using SCADE, preferred)
