Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with Insurance, Mortgage and Banking products, programs, and processes.
  • Create and foster a trusting and engaging work environment. Lead by example and guarantee a culture of accountability, integrity, and respect.
  • Ensure Procedures are up to date with Regulatory and Contractual Guidelines.
  • Maintain timelines to achieve month end deliverables to Management.
  • Ensure a consistent level of program knowledge by continuously expanding their understanding of Regulatory mandates and Reputational Risk.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert partnering to provide support for documentation, research, or remediation of issues and corrective action plans.
  • May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines.
  • Interact with numerous Citi entities including Legal, Compliance, Compliance Assurance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, BP&A, and Business Leaders.
  • Participates in the program development, application and testing of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Identify, escalate, track, and help resolve risk issues including but not limited to technology and operational risk.
  • Identifies system or process weaknesses, proposing resolutions that will mitigate the exposure and increase processing efficiency.
  • Integrates other control functions to ensure all risks are fully scrutinized.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to produce superior results with very high accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, listen, and work well with others.
  • Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and organize information.
  • Some experience in policy adherence, control effectiveness, and open communication.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and relationship building skills essential
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Problem solving skills ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Must be a quick learner able to achieve a thorough understanding of the loan origination process, regulatory requirements, and Citibank procedures in a short timeframe.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills are required and solid Excel and reporting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of LoanFX and Empower systems is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
