This role is critical to driving the Cultural Change required to move Cork to a true LEAN organisation. The role requires hands-on experience applying Lean/driving results through continuous improvement and will be a contributing leader to the overall success of the program.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide overall LEAN leadership to key areas of Cork business and drive the LEAN transformation by:
- Serving as a champion, coach, mentor for change by influencing teams to better understanding and adopt lean principles, problem-solving methodologies, digital adaptation and ultimately fostering a culture of change and servant leadership
- Partnering with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize and execute improvement opportunities through Kaizen
- Driving the execution of Kaizens and LEAN events to deliver on the Continuous Improvement plan
- Co-own event charter, metrics, scope, required pre-work and event execution plan
- Establish and execute a roadmap to build, implement and measure Standard Work (SW) across all business partner’s processes
- Define and prioritize processes and owners
- Train teams on standard work and define KPIs that demonstrate process health
- Establish and drive sustainment of Daily Management across the business partner’s processes
- Support across all levels of the Management System

- Ensure proper training and coaching for effective daily management and a true “embrace the red” culture.
- The position will be a demonstrated leader in Lean methods and will act as a role model for ‘Lean mindset’ across the entire PDx business
- ‘Hands on’ approach in demonstrating application of Lean tools: Our Core 4 (Problem Solving, Daily Management, Standard Work, Action plans).
- Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies – MES, EBR, AI
- Ideally familiar with driving change in regulated environments (e.g., FDA)
Qualifications and Experience
- several years’ experience in roles responsible for operations, transformation and/or quality
- Bachelor’s degree in any technical or analytical domain with a preference for Supply Chain Manufacturing related degrees (Business, Economics, Engineering)
- Experience in highly regulated industries
- Improvement mindset is essential, understands LEAN toolset with proven results
- Ability to facilitate and conduct Kaizen events
- Proven success in leading significant business process improvement
- Demonstrated leadership, ability to shape and drive transformational change
- Ability to drive and manage change in a matrix environment
- LEAN/Six Sigma trained with the ability to apply tools and process rigor
