As an Integration Field Engineer, your role involves delivering pre-sales technical support for developing complex products, applications, and solutions within a specific product line or offering specifically for our Data Integration offering. Applying knowledge of the product line, you provide technical expertise to solution architects, customer success and other technical sales resources to support clients. In collaboration with the solution architect team, you will assess the potential application of Informatica's products Data Integration capabilities to address customer needs. You will prepare comprehensive product specifications for developing customer solutions, include creating detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products. You may create rapid prototypes to showcase feasibility of customer requirements. Within the technical sales community, you will be Stay up to date with industry trends with a Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge. Your contributions will support the growth of others through mentoring, creating shared selling assets, knowledge repositories, and enablement materials. You will become key in the Data Integration product development by identifying product gaps related to customer solutions, staying informed about roadmap developments, and participating in an interlock process with product management.

  • Here's What You'll Be Doing: Provide consultative support to the solution architecture team independently
  • Share best practices, content, tips, and tricks for all assigned product and focus areas(s)
  • Maintain current certification(s) on assigned or related product area(s)
  • Assist and collaborate with solution architects on technical proof-related activities (Demo, Custom Demo, POC, Pilot)
  • Help with RFP responses related to the primary product area(s)
  • Partner with the customer success team on customer nurturing activities, including technical advisory, workshops, and optimization.
  • Provide customer feedback on product gaps using Vivun
  • Review and assign opportunity and account gaps to product gaps within Vivun
  • Develop and support demos at marketing events independently
  • Deploy reusable demos in Demo Central for use in Compass for new use cases
  • Present existing EBC content
  • Engage with internal product management resources to prioritize product issues
  • Close collaboration with community of practice leaders to create technical content for majors and areas of focus
  • Mentorship for other field engineers and solution architects
  • Knowledge & Skills: Advanced certification in at least one cloud ecosystem and one data-related cloud technology
  • Expert level knowledge of cloud computing security concepts
  • Expert level skills for assigned Informatica Integration products and services (6 on skills matrix)
  • Intermediate skill in at least one scripting/coding language
  • Advise and support integrations of Informatica tools with other software solutions such as Salesforce, SAP, or other custom interfaces
  • Ability to create a strategic technical proof plan as defined by the business
  • Engage with C-level, VP, and Director customer personas in technical roles
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects across multiple horizontal and vertically specific use cases
  • Education & Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in data integration
  • 10+ years of prior presales/technical sales, industry, or consulting experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background
