Develop and run data queries on fleet logs to help root cause analysis efforts
Work with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to drive design and manufacturing changes to improve product quality in both existing and future products
Define data signatures that uniquely identify the failure and lead integration of this knowledge into algorithms to automatically identify similar other failures in the field
Provide support on escalated customer cases in order to minimize system downtime, through day-to-day coverage of internationally distributed service cases
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting support on hardware failures, firmware bugs, and system integration between Tesla products
Perform validation and sign-off for new products and features to ensure functionality and superior customer experience
What You’ll Bring
Degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
Strong engineering fundamentals and intuition, applied to firmware/software-enabled mechatronic systems
Previous technical work experience with electric vehicle charging hardware and protocols / standards
Previous technical work experience debugging complex electrical systems
Strong data analysis skills, with experience using Python
Excellent oral, written communication and collaborative skills
An ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel
An excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce clear and concise written documents and diagrams
Work travel is expected to be <10% in this job. This could include traveling to customer sites, our manufacturing facilities, etc.
