Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including Accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Manager will manage teams of FAAS professionals during engagements covering a broad spectrum of R2R Optimization areas. The individual will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Lead engagement scoping and plan Discovery Workshops with the client to assess current state and perform comprehensive needs analysis including,
- Identify and document current R2R processes, KPIs, risk metrics, pain points, and inefficiencies
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives
- Conduct a gap analysis to determine improvement or automation opportunities
- Coordinate with multiple teams to run detailed solutioning & delivery including:
- Redesign processes to eliminate inefficiencies and incorporate best practices
- Evaluate appropriate R2R Optimization tools that meet the project requirements based on factors such as integration capabilities, scalability, user-friendliness, and cost
- Assist in designing processes on the chosen R2R Optimization tools to fit the future state operating model
- Assist in customizing features and settings to meet specific business needs
- Advise clients on a variety of topics including optimization of month-end close, journal entry rationalization, reconciliation optimization, chart of accounts rationalization and related tasks
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on utilizing new technologies, automation, and digitalization to drive innovation in the Controllership function
- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption and integration of new processes, technologies, and ways of working
- Develop detailed documentation and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance end user understanding and proficiency in R2R solutions during handover
- Account management, client relationship management and business development on select accounts
- Lead in responding to Requests for Quotation (RFQs), preparing proposals, and actively participating in client discussions
Qualifications, skills, and experience:
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK) or MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Finance domain with deep expertise in Record-to-Report lifecycle
- Certification in Blackline / FloQast / Trintech and/or hands on experience working on similar tools
- Strong understanding of Account Reconciliation, Consolidations, Intercompany accounting, Transaction Matching, Journal Entry and Task Management, Variance analysis, Smart close modules including but not limited to account setup, match rule construction, metrics, journal entry management, task management, and other R2R processes
- Proficiency in current state analysis (As is), future state analysis (To be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, data management
- Project management experience, including the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage a team and to establish credibility as a trusted advisor with clients
- Strong executive presence and ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients)
