JOB DESCRIPTION

Honeywell located in Phoenix, AZ has an opening for a HS&E Engineer II - Safety. This role will support our aerospace manufacturing facility and require working onsite Monday-Friday.
Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and develop preventive measures.
  • Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into business processes and decision-making.
  • Participate in incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Support the development and maintenance of emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices in HSE engineering.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and education on HSE matters.



YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial safety.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

WE VALUE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or similar.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with supporting safety programs (LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE, hot work, etc).
  • Experience with OSHA safety regulations.
  • Experience with Industrial Hygiene Practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio.
