In this role, you’ll need …
This individual contributor role will need to keep up to date with all modern technologies in the field of cloud infrastructure operations and release engineering (often referred to as “devops”). That skill set will be applied across the following activities:
- Collaborate with development teams on implementing deployment and packaging automation for their apps using K8S (AWS EKS), Docker, Helm Charts or other appropriate technologies
- Participate in strategic projects to improve Align’s approach to cloud-based infrastructure and application deployment
- Develop solutions to automate repetitive tasks, monitor system health, create and update real-time inventories and reports, and improve existing processes
- Participate in shaping and improving SDLC processes and document them in Standard Operating Procedures
We're looking for
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in speaking and writing English ( intermediate+ )
- Masters or bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent experience
- 5+ year’s experience working in DevOps
- 3+ years of practical experience with cloud vendors (AWS is a plus)
- 3+ year’s experience in one or more programming languages; Python/Java/Bash/Go
- Experience with any of orchestration tools (K8S or K8S based orchestrators)
- Experience working with configuration and/or infrastructure management frameworks (Terraform ispreferable, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Practical experience with modern container technologies (we are using Docker)
- Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining distributed systems and/or client-server applications
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and best practices
- Strong experience with version control systems (we are using Git)
- Ability to learn quickly
Agile methodology experience preferred. Experience with reporting analytics systems is a plus
