Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power within core materials markets and use industry dynamics to Appleʼs advantage.
- Relevant procurement / operations background
- Experience in supplier management and operations with some history of having solved complex supply chain issues
- Hands on experience in developing robust localized supply chain in India for key technologies (eg. automation, capital equipment)
- BS degree in engineering. MS in supply chain or MBA
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally / domestically up to 50%
- A tenacity, passion and demonstrated skill in negotiations
- Excellent communication, capable of working with global teams
- Can build, grow and develop key cross-functional relationships to be able to influence and drive projects
- Experience working with OEMs and Contract Manufacturers in the consumer electronics industry a plus
- Ability to operate independently and flexibility to adapt to dynamic environments
- Ability to make decisions and solve complex problems with with partial/limited information
- Direct experience in long term capacity planning a plus
- Interest in technology
