Do

  • Enhance and expand your communications skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • Support our functional organizations to create programs, prepare documents and presentations, develop key themes, identify gaps, opportunities and channels for engagement, and support initiatives being led throughout the organization
  • Develop internal and external communications, collaborate with organizations around Cisco as well as agencies, use research to support decision making, andassistin the planning and execution of campaigns, events, or programs
  • Learn to navigate anddemonstrateyour insights to seek problems in a complex, global organization
  • You will expand your communication knowledge through a wide variety of development opportunities including our Communications Rotational Program for university new hires, which includes monthly meetings with executives and mentorships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Including but not limited to a graduate/upcoming graduate of a certification program from a Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College or 4-Year University.
  • Open to 0-3 years of relevant experience or recent graduate or those in the final year of a Bachelor's in Communications, a related program, or holders of equivalent academic certifications.
  • Communications Experience: Extensive experience in public relations, digital communications, event planning, and/or multimedia content creation, with a portfolio of successful projects.
  • Creative and Technical Writing:Demonstratedability to craft clear, compelling, and engaging content for various channels, including creative writing, technical documentation, press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and social media.
  • Self-Starter: Proventrack recordof initiating and leading projects, such as starting organizations, conferences, competitions, or publications,showcasingentrepreneurial spirit and initiative.
  • Leadership Experience:Demonstratedleadership abilities through roles in student organizations, or significant involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Exceptional spelling and grammar skills, ensuring high-quality and error-free content in all communications.
  • Able to legally live and work in the country for whichyou’reapplying, without visa support or sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Presentation Skills:Demonstratedability to effectively present information and communicate ideas to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking communication metrics and performance indicators.
  • Experience as a Campus Ambassador: Experience inrepresentingorganizations or brands on campus,showcasingstrong communication, networking, and promotional skills.
  • Social Media Expertise: Minor in social media or equivalent professional experience in managing and strategizing social media campaigns across various platforms.
  • UI/UX Knowledge: Familiarity with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles to enhance digital communications and create user-friendly content.
