2st shift – from 6 pm to 6 am, rotating schedule
What a typical day looks like
- Inspects facilities, prioritizes necessary repairs, improvements, preventive maintenance and cleanliness; follows all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk and enhance the safety of employees and visitors; checks property and grounds for unsafe conditions, and clears hazards; reports safety conditions, security issues and illegal activities.
- Trouble-shoots and perform diagnostics for repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems when required.
- Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance, component replacement and repair tasks, including carpentry, mechanical, basic non-licensed electrical, plumbing; operates hand and power tools.
- Works on assigned projects, and makes appropriate decisions based on work experience; duties will vary according to job assignment and individual skills; notifies supervisors of repair problems beyond the scope of authority.
- Reads and interprets project work orders; identifies material and equipment needs and organizes supplies and equipment; prepares written reports as required and documents the work performed.
- Utilizes proper safety precautions in all work performed; reports problems and emergency situations to EHS and Management.
- Cleans up spills and unsafe conditions in a timely manner and according to procedures.
- Inspects and maintains assigned equipment; completes minor repairs on equipment as needed.
- Operates vehicles and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; identifies and reports mechanical problems requiring additional repair.
- Assists with setup and teardown for special events, and other tasks as directed.
- Completes daily work log, incident and accident reports, and requisitions for supplies and materials.
- Responds as directed to perform emergency cleaning and repair work as required.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- High School Degree
- Military technical training or equivalent education and training.
- 2 years of related experience.
- Experience on carpentry or mechanical background.
- Knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics is preferable
